Clem's Story
I attended TWC in 1966 long enough to watch the Miners win the NCAA basketball championship. Then I joined the US Air Force and served from 1966-1970. I came back to UTEP and got both my B.S. and Masters degrees in Education. I did my student teaching at Bassett Jr. High with Mr. Prince (my old social studies teacher.) ars as the Assistant Regional Superintendent and then was Regional Superintendent (County) of Kane County Schools in Illinois for 15 years, until I retired in 2007. I was married for 5 years and have a son (Benjamin) who is 33 years old. I remarried in 1981 and have been married for 29 years to Susan. She is a high school Spanish teacher and will retire next year in 2011. We have two kids, Monica and David. Monica is a Chemical engineer and David will be a senior next year and majoring in History and Pre-law. I had the good fortune of being selected as a "Gold Nugget" in 2007 for the College of Education at UTEP. It has been fun and I look forward to communicating and finding out how life has treated my fellow Panthers.
