Cliff's Story
Grad from Claremont High ( grad early in 66 but was in the class of 67) and also went to Upland High freshman year (Grew up in Upland).
After graduating at Cal Poly, Pomona (1970 - Journalism) spent 15 years in the newspaper business on the marketing side, then switched to software marketing - computers were much more interesting. Along the way picked up an MBA (1976) and Ph.D (1994) in marketing and taught for 14 years part time in Seattle for City University (also Zurich, Switzerland and in Nov. 2001 in China) I worked for a while in Bellevue, WA (Microsoft - contractor) and I taught graduate courses in the Midwest and California for Central Michigan University. n March 2018. Been with Capella since 2001 mostly as a part time faculty member other than 3 years FT in 2010-2013. Became the FT Capella Research Lead in July 2017 but soon moved up due to unexpected retirement of my manager. After 3 years as Program Chair with 160 faculty, left Capella Fall 2020. moving on to 4 other universities. Now living in Las Vegas. Loving non-retirement. Mixing in lots of travel each year other than the covid years. We love the night life in Vegas and tend to be at music venues once or twice a week. We have a 4 year old Corgi, a 14 year old rescue cat and a 2 old Corgi-Jindo mix from S. Korea who was a rescue (March 2022). Currently working for University of the Cumberlands (dissertation work); Fredericton University (Canada); Grand Canyon University (methodology work)l Golden Gate University. I am an evaluator for ACBSP business school accreditation work.
