Cliff's Story
Life
Graduated from Univ. of Texas in 1978 and from Univ. of Houston Law School in 1982. I am a founding partner in Harrison, Bettis, Staff, McFarland & Weems, a 20 lawyer firm in Houston that specializes in civil litigation. I am married and have two small children, John and Victoria, who are the most intelligent and most attractive children in the world, or at least that I have seen. enjoyed my work, which has always been challenging and exciting, but I would rather be with my children than do anything else. This marriage is my second, and in the 12 years between marriages (no kids from the first) I did some pretty exciting things like marathons (incl. Boston '94), triathlons (incl. Hawaii Ironman '92), and climbed some of the highest mountains in the world, including the highest in Africa, North America, and South America. Life is a little more sedate now (and I'm a little older and fatter), but certainly not boring.
