Clifford's Story

Life Let's see, I mispent my youth on friends and fun; it was worth it, friends and family are the most valuable things in life! After high school I lived variously in a number of small communities outside of Boulder and in Montana for a short while. Went to CU for a couple of years but found it unfulfilling at the time. Then, ran into Tom Harris at a party in '83, he put me on to a job as Field Engineer for ECI Computers. Spent 5 years working for them in Summit County; lots of skiing. Moved to Austin, TX to continue work for them in '87. Spent much of my time traveling around the country troubleshooting hotel mainframes; got tired of the travel. Went to work for Dell Computers in '93. Left Dell for a couple of years in the mid nineties...Expand for more
to do geophysical research work. That was fun; carry a computer into the back country on your back, set it up and watch mother nature. Went back to Dell where I still work as a database applications programmer. It's nice to do work you enjoy. Met my wife, Janice, at Dell. We married 6 years ago and have a house on Lake Travis. My absolute passions are Janice and sailing, which I learned from Janet Sidle and her Dad when I was in high school. I have owned a sailboat, Catalina 25, since I moved to Texas and sail it on Lake Travis which is about 70 miles long. I think about all of my Buddies from Fairview often and wonder what you are all up to. I come to Boulder every now and again. Let me know where you are and I'll meet you for a beer!
