Clifton's Story

Life Good morning, good afternoon and just in case I don't see ya good night. 1994 man was that a long time ago or what. Since then I attended Alabama State Un. down in Montgomery, Al where I majored in Computer Science. I was on the six year program, if you know what I mean, but right before I graduated an IBM email came into my inbox at school wanting to fly me to Boston, NYC and Raleigh/Durham. I never thought I would be working for such a big company, heck I was just in it for the you buy I fly meal ticket. But after leaving the Raleigh/Durham interview they sent me an offer, I never saw so many zeros in my life so I was like where do I sign ;-) and the rest of that part of my life is history. But before leaving Montgomery I loved and lost, don't really want dive too deep into all of that but it was good while it lasted. I have been working for IBM now for 7 years and loving every minute of it....ok almost every minute of it. There are sometimes long hours like days at time, then other when I sit at home on my you know what and do nothing, even some days I'm at the mall or movies, but shhh don't tell IBM that. ;-) I think that each jobs has it good points and bad, but over all I love the company. I just purchased my first home back in Sept. 2005 and I never really knew how hard it was to maintain a home until I got one, from the yard work to just decorating and man who knows what else, but I'm not complaining, I'm glad I finally got in one since my apartment complex kept going up rent, which is fine if you are making improvements to the complex, but they weren't doing jit. As a few people might already know I lost my brother to cancer back in...Expand for more
July and for those who might knew a sister as well to cancer. It was a lot to deal with and I can't really say I'm fine but I'm doing the best I can. I'm not ashamed to say or admit that I'm all cried out. I do thank GOD for allowing me to spend 31 years with my brother and sister it was time well worth spent. I used to always image my brother and I, since we were only a year and a few months apart, reminiscing about old times after sitting in our rocker chair sipping some sweet tea of course. But I do have a nephew, little mook, to help fill that hole that was lost. He lives in memphis with his aunt, that him of course in picture on my profile. I've still yet to make that move and have children....scares me to death really, but I do want to have a BIG family soon. Just to know that this little person solely depends on you for everything. But after I meet miss right, right for me, I'll make that move. I just hope she's ready because I want at least 4 and that's going to take a lot of Barry White music and love making to make that happen. ;-) I used to always think that a certain person from back in school we would end up together but things happen. Is anyone willing to admit who they had a crush on back in school. Mine used to _________ tell you at a later date maybe. OK initials C.B. maybe I'll get enough nerves to admit who it is later. But let's jump back to the present who's ready for 2008, well ready or not it's coming. I've made tons of new years resolutions but I'll see if I can stick to them. I'm hoping 2008 will be a whole lot better for me personal wise and professional. To everyone out there stay in touch and be blessed.
