Clifton's Story
Life
I'll answer that part later.
School
I went to Lakeland Highlands Middle School in Lakeland then moved to Sarasota in ninth grade.
I attended Riverview High School but I moved back to Lakeland my senior year and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1984.
After graduation I went to Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee and earned my BA in history in 1990.
I transfered to a Florida Army National Guard unit and spent the Gulf War at Ft. Hood, TX.
I recieved a grant for graduate research in archaeology at the University of Bucharest, Romania, and went to Eastern Europe for a year.
I returned in 1992 and began taking classes at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, while waiting for a grad position to open at Florida State. By 1995 I completed a BA in communications (journalism) from UNF and I gave up waiting for the grad position at FSU.
I moved to Tampa in 1997 to be closer to my family and began working for the Florida Deptartment of Corrections.
I left the state to teach special education at King H.S. in Tampa in 1999.
I went to Korea to teach English in 2000 and returned home in 2002.
