Life
Clinton Henderson Durham born June 18,1937 to William Henderson Durham and Minnie Cooper Durham in Pleasanton Texas. Attended elementary school in Los Angeles,Texas, San Antonio Hot Wells, Pleasanton, Texas and Charlotte, Texas. High School- Charlotte Freshman and Sophmore years. Moved to Pleasanton and graduated Class of 1955. College- SWT [Texas State] BS Ed.'61; Lewis Barber College'64; Our Lady of the Lake Univ. MS Ed.' 65. Personal- Married in Vero Beach FL to Miss Mary Lou Frink of Asheville, N.C. on June 20,1969. Children- Melissa' 70 James'72 Taught in Texas Public Schools for 33 years on all levels. in Cotulla ISD, Edgewood ISD, East Central ISD, Judson ISD, and Lytle ISD. Retired 1994. Lived out of state one year, L.A. [San Monica] 1963. Owned and operated "Father and Son" barber shop with father,1965-1974 in northwest San Antonio. Lone Star Fiddlers' Assoc. officer 1985-1993. President 1992. Conducted fiddle contests in Centeral and South Texas. Lost both parents in 1976 five days apart. They are buried in the Floresville City Cemetery. I have one sister, Madie Lanell Durham who also lives in San Antonio,Texas. Grandchildren- Melinda Rainer'97 and Marcus Rainer'06.
