Life
Hi everyone. After high school, I went to Brockport State and graduated with a degree in communication disorders (I always was a talker!). I worked as a school speech therapist for some time after that, and then went on for my master's degree at Potsdam State in 1989. I got that degree in Education as a reading specialist. I tried to get a job in that, but schools seem to need speech therapists much more than reading specialists. So, I had a few jobs that were part-time reading teacher and part-time speech therapist until I ended up in Maine in 1992 as a full-time speech therapist. I got married to a JD alumni who graduated a few years before us (1971) in 1995, the same year that my dad passed away. We've been living in Maine for 12 years now. He is an antique dealer, and we have a lot of fun traveling all over the country buying and selling antiques during the summers. rthern Colorado. I am now a Speech-Language Pathologist. We were never able to have children, but I have a great cat named Smokey. My mother is still alive and living in Florida. All my brothers are alive and well, and spread out all over the east coast and Ohio. That's about it in a nutshell. I'd love to hear from any of you who want to e-mail me. Update 1/2012: My husband passed away in his sleep on August 28, 2010. I no longer have Smokey either. I still live in Maine, and am still a school-based Speech Pathologist. I have a new man in my life. HIs name is Keith and he is a retired lobsterman. He grew up on Matinicus Island. He does boat carpentry now. I am very happy in my new life. I have a new cat named Abby. We live in a really nice ranch style home in the country. We have a pond and are surrounded by horse pastures. I haven't been on-line in a year, but am now back in cyberspace.
