More about Colleen:"I have throughly enjoyed helping raise my God-son Matthew. He has been a blessing from God. He is now a sophmore at Shorter with a 4.0 grade average, on the Dean's list with a Dean Scholarship, he was validictorian at Model and I am so proud.
I had two miscarriages, but have been blessed with the helping of raising 6 children who were not mine, especially the 19 yr old god son Matthew, who started me out as Nana. I have enjoyed him and all his friends who call me affectionalty Nana too. The last ten years have found me losing my own good health at a early age, and have lost a close family member each and every year.But I was able to take care of them in some way. ld, Floyd EMS , Floyd County Governmment/Personnel Dept/ Insurance Tech/workers Comp, Human Resources,Operating and owning Camp Insurance Agency, as well as Ellison Construction Specialities, working with Spartan Constructors in Atlanta, Holder Construction, in Atlanta, And a lot of traveling to different places I would have never gotten to see otherwise.I flew out of Atlanta a lot of times in insurance and construction.Then when my Father was ill, I came off the road, to help and take care of him until his death. I gave him his meds, shots, and anything else that I could, to show the love in some small way of appreciation for the life and love he and my mother gave me. It was an honor. I was very lucky to have the family that I did. I enjoy writing my stories when I can. and help with my Mother with her needs. The closeness I had with my Bro Phil, is still as close as it was years ago, I have adopted his daughter as my neice.He lost both His mom and dad, Johnny and Jeanette Aaron, within two months. So they are missing the sports this special little lady is in, we may see a gymnist for the olympics yet! I miss all the good times, we had with my friends growing up on Wayside...Would love to contact some of the old gang and converse with them!MHS was never the same after we left!! PS Spending time with my family in FLA every year, and visiting California with my family was the thrill of my life.Seeing Pebbles Beach where my Dad played golf, with his Brother and nephew, was awesome!!Those two weeks I will never forget! And the love I had.Good Memories!
Will visit them again!!!now to renew old friendships and new, to see how everyone is doing!
