Gerald's Story
I had no idea of what I wanted for the future. I just wanted to get away from Council Bluffs Iowa..
The best thing that happened to me was to join the United States Air Force and retire. I accomplished that on August 1, 1977. I had many training avenues for advancement and never served overseas in 20 years of service. I am today who I am because of the Air Force and the teachings my Mama gave me...Expand for more

I then went to work for the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) District as a Station Agent. I utilized many avenues of training and became a Union Representative and then progressed into middle management. I retired from BART December 30,1994.
As far as education, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in July 1977.
I now live in Southern California, about 60 miles from San Diego.
