Stories are what I've built much of my life around--so far. I currently own a funky (used) bookstore with vinyl, CD's art, cats and a dog in a lovely lakeside historic district in central Florida. As one of my customers put it recently, I'm 'the last holdout from hipper times.' I'm just doing what I absolutely LOVE to do...it's FUN almost all the time! Prior to this I've travelled and lived in some far-off places, met interesting and unusual people, and generally found something to be ecstatic about everywhere I've gone. Some of my favourites: New Zealand, Western Canada, the West Indies, France, the Netherlands. I lived/worked on a sailboat for about a year when I was 20; sailed all over the Caribbean. While that was certainly a fantastic experience, I think hiking/camping is one of my (other) passions...spent a lot of time through the years exploring the Northwestern US: northern California (Mt. Shasta!), Idaho, and Montana remain my top favourites in this country. Next trip(s) in this country: Arizona, to visit my sister; San Francisco, friends; Pennsylvania, maybe another business? and my all-time favourite, The West (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming.)
