Dennis's Story
Life
I worked in law enforcement for 25 years and retired in 2007 after hurting my back and having surgery in 2005.It took me awhile to get use to retirement because I wasn't really ready to retire.Once my back stabilized , I bought myself a Harley and decided to become a "Travling Man ".I've riden to places in Texas,AZ, New Mexico, Colorado Etc. I've also did some train excursions and the neatest one was to "Ground Zero" (NY). I guess I'm just enjoying life now. I look back now and realize that early retirement has it's benefits.
Prior to law enforcement I drove a bus for Airport Service where one of our terminals was under the monorail stop at the Disneyland Hotel. This company had contracts with MLB, NBA and the NHL. I...Expand for more
had the privilege of driving the Oakland Raiders to the Superbowl when they beat the Minnesota Vikings and my final ride was driving the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Superbowl in 79 when they beat the Rams. The list of players and coaches that I've met is endless BUT thank's to de-regulation that company went out of business and I syarted my LE career.
Workplace
I worked for 25 years in law enforcement. Most of my career was in a black and white and on motorcycles with some undercover detective stuff along the way.I worked for the City of Pomona. If you know anything about the inland empire you know that it's nothing but rock and roll in Pomona.Million dollar homes on both ends of the city but nothing but a toilet in between.
