Connie Barnett:  

I was born in Fresno and attended Dailey Elementary, Hamilton Jr. High, Fresno High, and Fresno State. I graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Social Sciences and a K-8 teaching credential. I married Steve Barnett in 1972. We have 3 sons, Eric 35 (married to Teija), Jeff 32 (married to Kylie) & Brent, 30. I also have 3 grandsons and a new granddaughter, children of Eric & Teija: Michael, 9, Steven, 5.5, and Ryan,4, & Analiisa born June 1, 2013. I taught 4th grade in Visalia one year, 1st grade at Herndon Elementary for 9 years and 2nd grade in Concord ,Ca for 23 years. We moved to the Bay Area in 1985 and have resided in Martinez, CA for 36 years.Sadly, my husband of nearly 35 years passed away unexpectedly in 2007. I retired from teaching in June 2010.
