Wow 30 years, alot has happened.
6/16/79 Married and became Mrs. Stan Phillips Jr.
6/14/80 1st child Connie Jean Phillips, now age 26, married, 4yr. old Maggie, due in Dec. with #2, lives/works in Rancho Mirage.
5/19/81 2nd child Stanley Thomas Phillips III, now age 25, single, 3rd med.student, living/rotations in Las Vegas.
10/14/84 3rd child Patrick Michael Phillips, now age 21, single, just finished 4yrs. USNavy, volunteer fireman in Bremerton WA.
1/17/86 4th child Matthew Lee Phillips, now age 20, single, works with dad and uncles in family co. Phillips Construction, living in Running Springs.
9/8/89 began teaching career in San Bernardino Unified School Dist.,
Parkside Elem.
4/5/93 5th child Nicole Ashley Phillips (Nikki), now age 13, single, beginning 8th grade at MPH (where else?)
6/16/06 Celebrated 27 years of marriage to Stan.
7/28/06 Celebrated 30 year reunion with old friends - GREAT PARTY !
8/20/05 transferred to Cajon High School (near Cal State SB) now am the resource teacher for the College and Career Center. Love it!
Will be starting 18th year of teaching on 8/21/06.
Well it is now 2013, this has been a very hard last few months...our oldest son, Dr. Stanley Thomas Phillips, III, died on July 11, 2013 after severe head injuries suffered while riding in a ambulance in Wisconsin for a patient pick up. Stanley had just begun his Neonatology Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. He had finished pediatric...Expand for more
residency in New York January of 2013 and had been home with us in Lake Arrowhead as he studied for his medical boards....we thank God we had those 6 months with him. Our family is doing the best we can under the circumstances, it is just a day to day procedure :(. We did participate in Organ Donation through the organization in Wisconsin and through his death Stanley was able to save the lives of 4 others in various parts of the country. That is something we know he would have wanted as a physician. The rest of the family is doing well, Connie Jean, almost 34, is living in Ohio, married with 3 kids; Patrick now 29, a firefighter with Gig Harbor in Washington State, he has triplet boys age 5; Matthew, age 27 living in Runnings Springs, married - no kids yet; Nikki, age 20, working and doing online college, not married yet...Stan and I will celebrate our 35th Anniversary this June, still live in Lake Arrowhead, I am in my 25th year teaching in San Bernardino, now teach Career Development to the Opportunity students at Community Day School, it is a new challenge. Sorry we missed the last reunion, heard it was fun as always. All the best to the Class of '76.
April 6, 2021- teaching from home, still employed by San Bernardino City Schools, 32nd year. Now have 13 grandkids, 8 boys, 5 girls (ages 25 down to 3). All kids/grandkids live in states other than California 😞. Still living in Lake Arrowhead, going on 42 years married to Stan.
