Hey now, what's up? My other profile was deleted I guess, for lack of updating maybe?? So, here goes another. I've been wearing out my Boston hat and jerseys, for the last several weeks here in Oceanside, CA. The local watering holes are filled with Boston fans. Bandwagon Jumpers!! Not so many Patriots fans though... Except for me and my daughter Amanda... I wear my lucky Patriot's gloves, well, glove (since I lost one at the casino one crazy night!), in hopes of another awesome season.. It's working so far..
I'll be 38 in December, but who's counting?.. My daughter Amanda will be 16 in May and is a sophmore. We both went from blonde to deep violet-me) and black cherry-Amanda, haircolor. A few years now for me, a few months for Amanda. She likes it, I'm sick of the upkeep, and am going back to natural. Either way, mine has been short and spiky for years now too and I'm letting that grow out as well. I don't think I'll ever stop screwing with my hair! Either way, it fits in with the Southern California lifestyle.
Amanda is a straight A student, and always has been. I think this year was the first time I heard her ever say a bad word about anyone in her life.. A regular mother Theresa she is--in Combat boots. She's a musician, who's been reading music since the second grade when she started with the clarinet. She has since taught herself the guitar, and just finished a drumline camp this summer. Her room is way too overcrowded for her huge drum set, what with all the stuffed Munky's (nickname) and the punk rock memorabellia, the fishnets and combat boots and tons of make-up in her room.. She's a RHPS freak and goes to the La Paloma on Friday nights- midnight to 4 am!! to do the timewarp or some crap... believe it or not, I am still a rocky virgin... I'd go, but don't want to go with all the "young" teens.. lol.. I'm a biker babe, so nothing would surprise me, just don't want to know what they're really up to I guess... , Lou Bibi, Mike Zanca, Andrea Breau, Collen Drummey, Brucey and Tommy even, we all just "LOVED" Roller Kingdom" in lieau of keg parties etc... Yeah RIGHT!! I would probably throw my daughter out on her ass if she pulled even one of the things I pulled.. but I was a more grown-up teenager.. I was wise to the ways of the world!!!! LOL.. anyway, thank God I still look young.. Amanda's friends who meet me think I'm wicked cool, and dress "tight" like a normal kid etc.. so, I have that going for me.. that's about it.. working to stay alive.. Administering the programs of the world for no appreciation and to line the pockets of "the man"... I've never been married, and love not answering to anyone, not having to entertain someone all the time, talk to someone all the time etc.. Hell, It wasn't until I was 32 that I finally met the love of my life, my soulmate.. and he was 12 years younger than I was!!! He was so damned cute though, riding up on his Iron Horse-(fatboy)...my Knight (he graduated Knight-school early!).. in LEATHER armour.. with a Mississippi accent and long-lashed baby blues to die for..I already had one pre-teen at home, and 3 years with him, was enough.. I told him from the beginning he was supposed to be out there dating etc..not settling down at such a young age, with such an old hag.. but he had to prove to me he was a big boy! HMMM.. all he ended up doing was proving my original statement true... so I had to tell him to kick rocks...but secretly, I'd take him back in a heartbeat.. any time, until the end of my days.. It'd just mean trouble.. but I can handle it.. don't tell him I said that though.. gotta stick to my guns..Yeah right.. what a sucker I've become.. just ask Munky...
School
I still trip out on the fact that Mr Nahomi taught spanish with his thick jewish accent and daily yamika wearing...Was that MHS or Assabet? (yuk!-my freshman year only.) Good thing I've lived 40 miles up the coast from Mexico for 22 years now. I've become a self-taught mexican linguist with a damned good Span-glish accent I might add--in spite of the Nahomi attrocities..
