Connie's Story

Life After HS, I attending Manchester College, receiving a double degree in Business and Communication Studies. I worked in Wabash for approx 2.5 yrs, where I met my hubby Steve. We were married in Feb 1995 and moved to the Southside of Indy. We both worked at Toyota Industrial Equip Mfg. Our son, Brett, was born 1/97 and daughter, Maya, joined us 9/98. Life was busy with work and two small children. Steve accepted a job promotion that took us to Nebraska. I stayed home for several years. We were in NE for almost 3 years. Then another job landed us in Lee's Summit, MO, a sub of K...Expand for more
ansas City. We moved back to IN this last fall, wanting to be closer to family. Donnie and John still live in Monticello. Donnie is busy with his company that does remodeling and home construction. John is busy with farming and his teenage step-daughter and two sons (ages 5 & 2). It is fun spoiling my neice and nephews! Transition to Lafayette has been difficult, MO was home to the kids and us but we are settling in slowly. I am working part-time as a Paraprofession at the kids' elementary and hope to go back to school for a transition to teaching degree specializing in Special Ed.
