Connie's Story

Life I am married and have two children, ages 16 and 12. I am an attorney with with the Alternate Public Defender's office. I have been employed as a PD for the past 19 years, and find that the fight for "JUSTICE" is still as challenging as it was when I first started. I do consider other alternatives (like teaching) when I'm completely frustrated by the daily grind of my job, but all in all, really enjoy what I do. I am actively involved in my children's schools, and with their sporting endeavors. Life is good! School After graduating from Paramount High School, I attended U.C. Irvine. ople, pledged a sorority, joined the gospel choir, and volunteered at the College Legal Clinic. I graduated in 1986 with a degree in social ecology, emphasis: pre-law. Once I graduated from UCI, I attended Southwestern University School of Law for 2 years, and graduated form Western State College of Law in 1989 with my Juris Doctorate. Law school was a humbling experience... but I made it through and thoroughly enjoy practicing law in the "real world." Workplace I represent persons accused and charged with committing crimes. I love the challenge, enjoy confronting the various sets of facts on a daily basis, and truly enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life. I love my job and it is truly rewarding.
