Connie's Story
Life
Crowned 2003 Ms. Sunset Beach Hot Chili beauty contestant and Winner at the Fire Dept's annual Chili Cook-Off, proves one is never too old! With children grown, I admit to loving the single life. After years of travel, Caleefornia, as Arnold Schwartzenegger would say, fits well for my lifestyle. The ocean breeze keeps me cool!
Writing is my passion. Currently working on a musical by special request, and adding chapter after chapter to my book, Chapters, hiking and seeing nature is what thrills me. A good movie can have the same effect as well as a great concert or Book!
Since President Harry S.Truman kissed me in my baby buggy on the porch daily during his walks to the White House, life has been and continues to be an adventure worth investigating! Have fun.
School
Wrote chorus verse to Eglin Elem school song. Radford Soph Student Council & Chorus-1st musical stage role. Texas State All Star Cast Award, theatrical scholarship, Best Actress Award Edison Drama. Enjoy community theater. Received the Bull Sling award from Lackland AFB. Coy charm if that tells you anything about me!
College...Expand for more
Delta Psi Omega Dramatic Fraternity
I am not Harry Potter but a potter just the same. Throwing clay is great...look out - duck! Pat Crabb is the perfect instructor.
How does one combine theosophy and botany? Secret... very carefully!
Theatre was my forte in college and will always be my love.
Workplace
Having owned an interior design company for years, I find my forte is in the development of new company procedures and cutting expenses. Especially proud of ResNova Software that sold to Microsoft in 1996. Curlin Medical currently produces an ambulatory infusion pump. Work has nothing to do my passion, theater and music. Currently writing a musical, I hope to return to the stage as a director. No stardom, just fun work.
Military
Now in California I've tuned into flying and celebrating the Centennial of Flight! I grew up being an Air Force brat and wouldn't trade that life for any other. Made a gypsy out of me though as I love to travel. Europe proved to be quite an astonishing adventure and one I would do again in a heartbeat! Miss all friends in Hawaii, Florida, Texas! Let's hike the Sierras!
