Life After high school, I attended Hancock, worked at Columbia Records, and dated, all full-time and at the same time. I married in '73 and moved to Rosemead, CA. into a little house with a white picket fence. To escape being a housewife, I began working at Waldenbooks in downtown L.A. My entire paycheck went to paying for parking and books. I accepted an opportunity to work at UPS after my store manager turned it down. For 13 months I loaded boxes into 40-ft. trailers before opting for the job of UPS driver. I un-married in '83 and moved to an historical district in Long Beach. Our homes here were built by that big chewing gum company--though they DID use regular building materials. Through the years, I've pursued many interests including, but not limited to, jewelry-making, stained glass, scuba-diving, snow-skiing, and barbershop quartet singing.
