Connie's Story
Life
Went to Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Lexington KY
in August '64, after we graduated.
Graduated in 1967and immediately went to work at Good Sam
Hospital. Took Boards while the 7-day war was going on in the
Middle-east and was scared and thought we'd be called-up since
we were part of the old Nurse Cadet System. Thought very seriously
about joining the Air Force and decided that I just couldn't
deal with the Vietnam War upclose and personal.
Married in 1968 and moved to Harlan KY to work in Harlan Appalachian
Regional Hospital.
Moved to Washington DC in the fall of 1969, after birth of daughter,
Erin in March 1969. I decided I didn't want to work in Hospital any

as a Nurse Reviewer. My son, Sean, was born in June of 1971.
I went to work for CAC, a subsidiary of CNA Insurance, in July 1982
as a Claims Manager. In November 1994 went to work for CNA as
a Fraud Investigator, which is what I am doing today.
Along the way, I separated from my Husband in 1981 & we finally
divorced in December 1989. I brought a lovely house, in 1980,
which was built in 1905 and have been slowly repairing everything
in sight since but wouldn't trade it for the world.
I enjoy DC Area and the East Coast in general, but do miss the
mid-west, family and friends.Wish I could see you all more often
but I ususally only get home every couple of years.
