Connie's Story
The day after graduation, I started working for Vulcan Steel in Bloomington and 25 years later, I am still here as Office Manager. I guess I grew a pretty big root. I went to Crafton Hills and Cal State San Bernardino at night while I worked during the day, which was fun, not! I met my husband through my brother in 1986 and we dated for 3 years and married in 1989 and we have been married for 19 years now. We have 2 wonderful children, Breanna is 17 and Jimmy is 14. They both swim competitively, so we are very busy at going to swim practice and meets. My daughter was in Girl Scouts for 6 years, so I was her troop's leader during that time, until Swim took over our lives when she entered Junior High. My son is in Boy Scouts still, and...Expand for more
will remain all the way through. He wants to get his Eagle award. My husband works for the Ca. Air National Guard as a Production Controller and works on the Predators. He has been there for 26 years. When we got married, we moved to Colton for 1 year, Hesperia for 7 years and then settled in Corona now for the last 11 years. We love to go to the river and Hawaii for our vacations. We used to go to Glamis, until we decided we really need to pick one place and stick to it. Too many toys to maintain and not enough time to use them. Now we really don't have time for even the river, so we are having trouble making it there, so we go to the beach and our backyard and hopefully make it back someday. Life...crazy sometimes, but I love it.
