Connie's Story
Life
Divorced in 2009, after a 23 year married that had "lost that loving feeling". After a couple relationship mistakes, time has reversed itself and in rediscovery of my teen years, have found my soul mate. Committed for rest of this journey. Still a free spirit, because he has given me back my wings and is the wind beneath them. He has taught me that I am stronger than I believe.
My Kids
My oldest son, Rick has passed on to the heavenly realm. My daughter, Raven is 30. My younger, Reuben (aka Howling Wolf) is 27. (His twin, Malachi died before birth). Of course, I am very proud of my children. I adopted another son in August 2003. This name is Tony. We also have 5 other adopted children who are married and have children of their own.
My Job
I am semi retired now. Not by choice but by circumstances. Bad accident in 2012 left me crippled of body, but not of spirit. Now I am partly living out my life's dream...I make jewelry and other things. Raven and I will soon be starting a business selling homemade...Expand for more
natural soaps, candles and cosmetics. And prepare taxes during season.
School
Strangely enough, I liked school, even though I was pretty much a loner. I wish I would have been braver in letting the real me show through. I allowed a minute number of people see the real me. I spent most of my time trying to made the good grades to keep my parents and teachers happy. In doing so, I missed out and making myself happy.
Workplace
I have had many jobs but most have been office related. I have worked as an insurance underwriter, worked in my ex-husband's office as a bookkeeper/manager, taught at a private school (for 3 years) and now I work from home doing taxes during season.
Hobbies
I have built a race car from the chassis up, but never got to race it because of my accident. Music is still my passion. I work with an entertainment company have a cd in the works. Six recordings down and six to go before release.
Life is a journey and if you stay positive, you too, can accomplish the purpose you were put here to do.
