Connie's Story
Life
Life is what I make of it. I try to keep going, even when I am faced with some very great challenges. My most recent losses have made me more introspective, and I am aware my spirituality is a major focus of every minute of my life. There are days I awake and can almost feel like I want to throw in the towel! Then I realize things happen for a reason, and to stop doing what I am called to do would let others down. So, for my beautiful son, Devin, I keep going. I sure do miss him; he was such a Light in my life. I love you, Devin, where ever you are!!
School
For me, school is a part of living your life. I continue to learn and grow, thankfully! I love reading, am a published author in my spare time, and just love learning from others. I have a very diverse circle of friends, various ages and ethnic groups. All very exciting and I feel truly blessed.

Workplace
My life in general is OK. I am honored to work at the United States Marine Corps Combat Development Center, in Quantico, Virginia. I work on a variety of projects focused on helping the young Marine Warrior in a combat theatre of operations. I have been honored to serve the Army and Navy in previous locations. As a parent, I consider each young Warrior I meet as Âmy child. I know they arenÂt, and I still love them as if they were. It helps me focus on my work efforts; I understand I serve those who serve the Nation. I take my work seriously.
I am so honored to be where I am and able to do what I can to help others.
Military
I serve those who serve the Nation. I love being near people who wear the uniform. It is a privilege to b e near the DC area where so much history is located in so many historic venues.
