Life
What's up Bernards!?! It's been a wild ride since June of '92. I went to UC Irvine where I actually had a good time being active on campus as an Resident Advisor and doing community service within an Afrocentric Brother/
Sisterhood known as Ptahhotep, which is based at Cal State Long Beach. After graduating in 1996 with a BA in Sociology I moved with my then fiance to New York. We lived in Queens for just over a year. What an adventure that was! I was on my way to getting my Master's in Public Administration but I found that a health and development career is more suited for me. day we met (Valentine's Day), and we now have a 6 year old son, Malik (11/1999), and a 21 month old daughter named Nia (9/2004). I am so proud of how well they are growing. I enjoy being a mommy but I can't take much credit for how smart and cute they are. Oh and we just bought a house! I still keep in touch with Erin Ricard and Zabrina Johnson, and I hear from Janell Williams, too. I've seen a few of y'all out there over the years. Hey, aren't you glad your twenties are over?! For me, it was a time marked with confusion and disillusionment, but I'm finally used to being a "grown up" at 30 years old. What can I say? Let's all just keep getting better with time.
