Corinne's Story
Life
My life now? I'm a newleywed. And I'm loving it. We're living the simple life in the great little house we own in West Hartford with our two cats. I love my friends, I LOVE my family and I try to spend as much time as possible with each.
School
My past? I spent the entire early part of my existence trying to make everyone like me. To the point that back in high school, rather than getting the attention I desired, I was viewed more as an annoyance and an obnoxious mess. Yes, they actually voted me class chatterbox. Made me happy at the time to be noticed and to win the stupid popularity contest, but after high school, I came to a realization that it really doesn't matter what all those bitches who made me feel like crap thought. While I'm still outgoing, I don't need to be obnoxious to get people to like me. I'm a good person, and the friends I have now, who made it through that time with me are the friends I'll love forever. And the people I meet now, or reconnect with? Hopefully they'll love the person I am now - and see how I've become a better person. It's only taken me 25 years to figure it out - you ju...Expand for more

College
Doing the college thing again - enrolled full time in Fall of 2004. I did the college thing at Briarwood right out of RHS, but didn't really dig the paralegal field, so basically wasted my time there. After some years out in the workforce, I enrolled in college again. Round #2!
Workplace
I'll graduate with a dual-degree in December 2006, if all goes as planned. Instead of following where my career path had been heading (I did some time as an admin a couple places, as a customer service rep, in real estate and as a credit analyst for a large industrial company), I'm choosing my passion this time. Statistics say a person in my generation will have 15 careers by the time they retire, so it's on to number 6 or 7 (i think?). After graduation, I'm not settled on exactly how I'll be using this great education, but for now it's heading towards event planner or perhaps a travel agent. We'll see!
I work at the Clarion Inn & Suites in Manchester for my internship at the moment though. 300 hours of fun!
Military
go national guard! (my brother's currently serving his country)
