Coty's Story

Well, after high school, I attended Tarleton State University. I graduated there in 1996 with a BS in Animal Biology and Minors in Chemistry, Mathematics and Agriculture. I started medical school in the fall of 1996 at Texas Tech University. I met my wife when I was teaching Gross Anatomy during the summer between my first and second year of medical school. I finished medical school in May 2000. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, so I started a residency in Family Practice at Texas Tech University in Amarillo. During my second year of training, I discovered my love for Cardiology (more specifical...Expand for more
ly Cardiac Electrophysiology). I left my FP program and started an Internal Medicine residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. I finished that residency program in 2004, and spent the next year doing cardiovascular research (you can google me, read some of my work - the rest is being submitted for publication now...). I finished my fellowship in Cardiovascular diseases this year (June 2008). My wife and I just moved to Kansas City, Kansas. We'll be here for a year while I finish my training in Cardiac Electrophysiology. Then, we are moving back to Amarillo for practice with the Cardiology Center of Amarillo.
