Craig's Story

Though I began high school at 29 Palms High School, some time in my sophomore year, my Dad retired from the U.S.M.C. and we returned to Banning (where I went to Susan B. Coombs Jr. High School) and I graduated with a great bunch of friends (and others I never knew) June 1973. After living in southern California since 1969 (and L.A. since 1980), I moved to central Oregon in July 2002 where I lived for ten years. I have three great children: Nicholas Shea (April 1993), Connor Matthew (August 2004) and Alexandra Renée (November 2006). For nearly 40 years, I have worked in film and television as an executive producer, screenwriter, director and am now also considered a web pioneer. (Thank you Mr. Crutcher [29 Palms High] and Mr. Teague [Banning High] who helped nurture my creative spark!) Since a heart attack Novembe...Expand for more
r 17, 2008 (yes, I survived and recovered very well) and treatment for throat cancer throughout 2011 (from which I continue to recover as of this writing [February 2014]), I've become especially sensitive to the importance of meaningful relationships in our lives. If I haven't said it yet to those whom I knew in high school and stayed in touch with over the years, you mean a lot to me and I'm grateful for you in my life. Thank you for the time we've enjoyed together and I wish you well in your life's adventures. I'm very much looking forward to our multi-year class reunion June 2014 (41 years already!?) - since I had so much fun at the 20-year BHS gathering that I was able to attend. Until then, any of my classmates may contact me any time. I hope you're happy, healthy and prosperous and that you'll stay in touch!

One is very sweet. The other is a cupcake.
Docs say stage-4 cancer has returned. This time in my chest. So grateful to have been cancer-free since treatment 3 years ago. Some days you're the windshield. Some days you're the bug.
This is my chapel. My sanctuary. I came here this Sunday morning and God reassured me I am where he wants me to be.
Heading to the gym now, hoping to avoid Tampa traffic by soaring over it. I hope your troubles fly by while your joys linger with you.
Imagine a more tropical version of this environment and you'll get a
sense of the design I'm thinking of for my backyard pool (someday). A jacuzzi
would be above the falls, adjacent to the master bedroom's deck.
I am grateful daily for my loving, sensitive, smart, creative and beautiful-inside-and-out children Nick (20), Connor (9) and Alexandra (7). Just this afternoon (no particular occasion), Alex gave me this sweet note. (sniff
Princess Alexandra and I are at the very special event of the year -
the Annual Daddy Daughter Dance! We had an awesome time together and also
watching her dance with her BFFs!

Our French Silk Pie - Alex and I (Connor even helped us!) made French
Silk Pie from scratch earlier today. It turned out perfectly and was a
wonderful treat at the end of dinner.
