Craig's Story
I co-own 2 GNC's in Las Vegas. My second store I opened up with long time friend Dan Kiernan. It took thousands of dollars and years of court but finally I was able to get back one a part of what was stolen from me. "When you have family like mine who needs enemies?"
Dan as you may remember was a heavyweight wrestler in Elko and was known for the Kiernan crunch. He is a great friend and I am blessed that he has been in my life for the past 20 years.
I taught and coached from 1991 to 2007. During this time I was a coach of the year in football for the state 1994, and reached the state championship. I coached at EHS during the 1998 state championship runner up team and coached in Colorado on the #44 ranked high school team in the country and 2x Colorado 4A State football champions. I was also named as a Who's Who Among American Educators. I have obtained a Masters Degree and my Educational Leadership Endorsement.
Hero - He may not know it but my greatest hero is my son Zac. Here's a kid who has lost his mom, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and he continues to excel. He had people in his life that stole everything that his mother had worked. These things were as small as her glasse and her jewelry to her wedding dress to as large as the busines...Expand for more
s's she helped start.
Just recently his mom's guitar and wedding bands were taken. (I guess drugs and control are more important than one's little brother or one's grandson) He's seen his house slashed with razor blades, and his car stolen and damaged. He had older siblings that treated him poorly and he's been through a huge amount. Unfortunately, the people that should be with him have chosen another route.
He has gone from total loss and devastation emotionally and finanancially to exelling. As one of my favorite movies Rocky leans to his son and says, Thank you for bein' born. Thank you, thank you.
Life throws punches¿the difference between winners and losers is the winner takes the hit, but gets up and keeps moving forward¿.A winner just refuses to be stopped. No excuses¿.Just keep doing¿ Rocky Balboa
Today I have found that I need to let go of the past and realize that dysfunctional is the name of the game. When people try to tear you down you can either go down with the ship or as Tom Hanks once stated, "you just keep breathing and put one foot in front of the other."
I am currently working on a book that will give more insights into my life, living in a dysfunctional family and being able to overcome adversity.
