Craig's Story
Life
Well lets see a bio -- what does that mean? My life started in Loma Linda and then progressed to Walla Walla, Washington for college. After that i returned to Loma Linda University Medical Center to work for a few years. Finally i found my nitch in life - hotel management. I am the General Manager of Best Western Casablanca Inn, San Clemente, CA. I love my job. I live about 1000 feet from the waves of north beach here in San Clemente and 500 feet from work. I am happy and satisfied with my life. Although i do play the lotto and maybe someday win something (yea right).
School
Loma Linda grades 1-12 -- started life -- didnt know who i was or how to deal with me. Sometimes really hated the place. Glad when i graduated academy and moved away.
College
Walla Walla College -- grew up here learned to live. Learned who i was and became happy with that.
Workplace
the last 18 years i have been General Manager of several business and hotels in the San Clemente area of Southern California....Expand for more
2008
This year was a major change for me. My mother developed Colon Cancer and had a stroke (she is 92). In order for her to have the best care (and not put her in a nursing home) i have quit my employment and have taken an extended leave to take care of her. I am now living back in the town where i grew up in grade school (Loma Linda).
I am a live in caregiver to her. It is a very rewarding situation. I am glad that i am able to help out.
Anytime any of you are in the area feel free to stop by for a visit or chat.
this is probably the mission for the rest of her life. I hope she lives for years to come. My grandfather died at 97, my aunt is still living here in loma linda at 96 and i have numerous other releatives that are over 100. so i hope that my mother has several more years of good life.
feel free to write me and keep me posted. I will be taking an extended trip the the northwest (seattle, walla walla, and other places late this summer). Hope to see all of you then.
