I never wanted to have a career in finance but somehow I always suspected that I would. I started selling life insurance back in the days when some companies still sent agents to polcyholders' homes to collect their premiums. had a business account and she told me about Discover Card. After ten years there I decided to expand my horizons and tried mortgage servicing. I was downsized from Chase just six months before I would have vested, but they paid for the formal education that made my current position possible as an accounting technician for the Department of Defense in Whitehall.
