Crystal's Story
Life is good! I married my college sweetheart in 1993. He's an Army officer, which wouldn't matter much except that his job has dictated how we live. As I write this we have been married 14 years, have moved 11 times, lived in two different countries and are waiting, less than patiently, to hear where we will be moving this summer.
We have four kids. We've been homeschooling for 8 years now, which has helped to keep things stable. It's a lot of work, but I like the people I work with, so that's a bonus! :)
We lived in Germany for 3 years. That was a blast. I'd love to return to Europe again for a few more years. I wouldn't want to live there permanently, but it's great fun to visit all kinds of new places. We visited 10 countries while we were there, which isn't nearly enough in my opinion. There are many more places I'd like to go.

onotonous (laundry, again?!) but my kids have a healthy sense of who they are and what is important, they like each other and get along well together, they are generally pleasant and enjoyable company, and my husband and I have a great relationship that continues to improve each year so I would no longer be willing to work for anyone else.
In my spare time (about 5 minutes a day, ha!) I like to read, or ride my bike. My husband is hugely into mountain biking so we all have bikes. While I will probably never be as good a rider as he is, and I don't enjoy tearing up and down mountain trails that have previously only been used by deer, like he does, I do really enjoy riding my bike every day. It's fun, it's faster than walking, and no one gives me speeding tickets. Plus, I have lately learned that exercise keeps me sane. Who knew? (Probably everyone but me!) I'm also learning to quilt, which just sounds old ladyish, but I don't care, I like it! I love the colors and textures of fabric.
