Joe Culotti
I was one of the nerdy guys in class, but I grew up playing a lot of baseball and was fairly good at sports for such a skinny guy (still skinny).
After High School at Anaheim High, I lived at home and commuted to U.C. Irvine for 4 years. I took many science courses and went to grad school at the Universty of Washington and graduated with a Ph.D. in Genetics in 1974. I was married in Seattle. I th...Expand for more
en did postdoctoral work at Cal Tech and in Germany for a few years and became an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois, where we had 2 daughters. I moved to a research position in Toronto almost 30 years ago and have had a wonderful time doing research and a little bit of teaching. I am not yet retired because I enjoy research so much, but I am also somewhat looking forward to it.
