Curtis's Story
Went north to Idaho State and there married a California girl (Diane)who was on a volleyball scholarship. Earned a degree in Biology and moved to Red Bluff California and worked for the Fish and Game and US Forest Service until 1993. In our time in Red Bluff, my first two children were born, Morgan Rose Tucker and Stephanie Ann Tucker.
In 1993 I moved back to the land of my birth (Missouri) and began a carrer in manufacturing management in the Automotive Industry that continues to this day. My son, Jason Ray Tucker was born at this time. Thanks to NAFTA and World Trade Organization legislation Four of my employers have closed U.S. operations. So after leaving Elko I have lived in: Idaho, Missouri, Kentuck, Georgia, back to Missouri, Texas, and back to Missouri. I also am active in real estate investing and building a safety net if this crazy economy kills manufacturing all together. I started with rental houses so if anyone is considering this please let me know and I can give you the little tricks that can be the difference between success and failure.
I live near Truman Lake in Missouri and fishing and camping continue to be my primary leisure time activities. We also love to travel and have recently taken exetended vacations to Mt. Zion in Utah and the Black Hills area in South Dakota. On our next trip we plan to come to Elko and backpack in the Ruby Mountains where I spent every summer weekend during my high school years. I miss the smell of the sweet sage in the air on the crisp spring mornings in the high mountain desert of Elko, Nevada. Gods blessing to all!
