After high school, after college, and after the sudden end to a 6 year relationship, I found myself in a booth at Dennys on SR 7, interviewing for a hostess position. The manager was unbelievably rude, the interview a disaster and I was sitting in my car afterwards, feeling sorry for myself when a lady knocked on my window. She had been sitting in the booth behind us, heard how the jerk treated me and took pity on me. She said, My daughter is looking for help at the mortgage company she works for down in Hollywood....Heres her # - call her, go see her. Flash forward 25 years and I am still in the mortgage industry and am currently a Program Director for Investor Relations at Bank of America. I support regulatory audit engagements for the Home Loans division. Given the current environment, its been a bit stressful lately, but its very challenging and always interesting. Ive been with the Bank since 2003 in a variety of roles. Prior to that, I lead mortgage operations for Barclays American, Principal Financial Group and Allen Tate Mortgage here in Charlotte, NC. Ive lived in Charlotte for a total of 16 years, leaving briefly to pursue my career and have lived in Columbia, MD, Richmond, VA and Jacksonville, FL. ...Expand for more
