Cyn's Story
Attended SSFHS from 1968 to 1972. I was fairly quiet and became an environmentalist in my junior year; joined the Ecology Club and went on several backpacks with Mr. Lewis. Didn't drink or smoke (at the time). Mr. Pucchetti (sp?) taught me the importance of "seeing;" he noticed that I didn't wear my glasses in class (even though I needed to).
After graduating, I attended San Jose State University, and graduated in 1976 with a BA in "Special Major: New College." Entered the student teaching program, and quit with two weeks to go; just didn't have what it took. Spent the rest of my professional career doing work related to kids: recreation leader, assistant director for Olinder Community Center, San Jose; director of therapeutic recreation services, Eureka; business manager for Trinidad S...Expand for more
chool (20 years), and business manager for Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District on the Hoopa Indian Reservation (currently).
AT our last reunion (30th), I enjoyed seeing my childhood friends Dori Bandar, Nancy Posey, Pat Montero, and Pam Gee; and reconnecting with old boyfriends Mark Fitch and Bill Moore.
Married for 25 years, my husband Bob and I have no children, but have had lots of four-legged kids. Currently have a dog, four cats, and 2 horses.
I love listening to live music whenever possible, and have recently freed up enough time to plant a garden and paint watercolors again. As I near retirement age (somewhere between 2 to 5 years away), these interests will sustain me, in addition to our dream of travelling. A lot.
