Cyndi's Story
Life
I currently work for the U.S. Attorney's Office and have been with them for over 32 years now. I'm responsible for electronic evidence presentation in Federal Court and am one of those Sick People who can honestly say I like my job!! I met a wonderful man tied the knot in a private ceremony on 05/05/05 and had a wonderful reception at my parent's home in Dover with lots of high school friends, co-workers and family in attendance, on June 25th. I live in So. Berwick, ME now with my husband, Greg Budahn, and our German Shepherd's Harley & Lili and we enjoy our very old, fixer-upper house, sitting out on the deck with a cold one in hand, listening to 105.3, The SHARK and Songs of the 70's, chucking tennis balls or Soccer Balls to the puppies when the weather's good. Life has been very good to me and I'm able to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life! I still see old friends from high school a couple of times a year, either at my annual christmas party or at our Outdoor Movie Party! It's really great that we've all kept in touch for almost 35+ years now! That says a lot!
School
After High School I went to McIntosh College where I got my Degree in Paralegal Studies. I continued my education through my job and now even teach a couple of times a year down at our Advocacy Center in South Carolina. I teach electronic courtroom presentation and Docum...Expand for more
ent and Image Management courses to Attorneys and support staff from other U.S. Attorney's Offices. I really enjoy getting away from the office to do this too!
College
Received Associates Degree from McIntosh College in Paralegal Studies and took some Criminal Justice courses as well. I've learned more than I ever thought I would about computers and digitization of raw material through work! It's a constant learning experience and it keeps my mind sharp.
Workplace
Thanks to Ms. Murphy, I got my first job Sr. Yr at the Dover Housing Authority (3yrs there), then off to the PNSY for 6 mos, followed by a fulltime job in Concord for the Army Recruiting Battalion where I travelled 3 wks / mos to all Recruiting Sta. in ME & NH. I was a civilian Military personnel Clerk. They moved in '86 to Brunswick which is when I secured a job for the U.S. Attorney's Office. I started out at the U.S. Attorney's Office in July 1986 as a secretary, and have moved up through to Paralegal in the Criminal Division and now as the Automated Litigation Support Coordinator for the office. This means I digitize all the evidence and accompany my attorney's to court and present the evidence through electronic means. It's very very interesting and we rarely lose a case so it's very satisfying too! Maybe I'll see you in the jury pool someday... but hopefully not at the Defense Table! LOL
