Cyndi's Story
Life
I am now living in Rescue, CA. I have 3 sons; Matt 18 (attending CalPoly in San Luis Obispo) and Ben
& Lucas are 14 and getting ready to start high school next year. We moved here in July of 2000 after I remarried
on Halloween of 1999. My husband, Bob, works for Intel in Folsom.
I'm still a Registered Nurse, and got out of the patient care aspect a few years ago. But after being a case manager for an insurance provider, I'm thinking of getting back into patient again. I guess I'm just too much of a people person to sit in front of a computer all day.
We live out in the country in the foothills of the Sierra's and LOVE it here. This
is truly God's Country. No more of that nasty white stuff in the winter
(unless we want to drive 30 minutes to it) and only 60 miles from
beautiful Lake Tahoe! Such a nice change to have deer, quail and the
ever-present wild turkeys in our yard! I am a big quilter and get "grumpy"
if I don't get my time to sew. I love making a useful piece of art out
of my "scraps" of fabric. I have even designed a few of my quilts myself.
My latest "toys" are the two Harleys I just bought. Since the '70's
(riding on the back o...Expand for more
f my boyfriend's chopper) I've wanted a motorcycle,
but just never got around to doing anything about buying one. But one
day my husband and I went to the Harley shop to "look for T-shirts"
and one thing led to another; and Bob drove home the first Sporty.
That weekend I was once again riding on the back and decided it
was time for me to move up to the driver's seat. The next weekend
I bought a second Sporty for me. My bike sat in the garage for
about 4 months until I could finally get into the motorcycle safety
class and get my license. That was 3 years ago. Since then both my husband and I have "upgraded" our Harley's; Bob rides a 2003 100 Anniversary Dyna Wide Glide and I moved up to a 2004 Dyna Low Rider (remember... I'm vertically challenged... so much so that I even had to have a low rider lowered more) We've joined the local HOG (Harley Owner's Group)
Chapter and have met so many wonderful people. Our Chapter is
VERY active and we go on rides nearly every weekend..thank God we
live in a place with a LONG riding season! I know there are more
people from our class out here in CA; if you're out there, email me!
(I'd love to hear from you!)
