Cynthia's Story

Life Today's date is July 14, 2009. Hello everyone, this is Cyndi. I'm still living in sunny southern California(north San Diego county) where I have been for the past 24-1/2 years. I do miss Chico and hope to go back to visit next summer ('10). I'm married to a wonderful man(second marriage)and our 21st wedding anniversary is coming up in October. I have 3 children; a son and 2 daughters. I have 5 grandchildren and don't know whether I should brag or hide under a rock! It's strange being my age and having five grandkids. My son and eldest daughter live in Spokane, Washington. My youngest daughter just graduated high school on June 22nd and man am I glad that whole middle-school, high-school crap is over! I don't know how my mother survived 5 kids with us going through that mess. I have accomplished a lot since I left Chico. my AA and have also been working in the medical field for over 20 years. I have since decided that I'm going to fulfill a live-long dream of being a nurse and start nursing school (prerequisites)this fall. I'm leaning towards the RN program. Although, because everyone seems to want to be an RN, I may just go for my BSN or BSW(Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science, Social Worker.) I try to take care of myself and am constantly busy doing something in the yard, house or wood shop. I am very active and it's hard to keep me down. I love being outdoors planting or being with my animals. I also love working with wood and have my own wood shop. I even bought myself a plasma cutter and welder. I'm trying to teach myself how to weld. I've met some wonderful people in my life and yes, some lousy ones too, who have shaped me into the person I am today. Much regards, Cynthia (Cyndi)
