Cynthia's Story
Hello Everyone, First of all let me say that in High School I was Cindy Woods. My best friend was Kathy Trout. I was quite and shy. I just blended in so not a lot of people will remember me. I grew up on Hopkins Rd. We moved to Kernersville NC from Martinsville, VA in 1964. I have two sisters, Lori and Janice Woods both younger than me.
I liked school okay, but did not really apply myself. Mr. Hedgecock was my homeroom teacher for both grades 11 and 12. I almost quit school in 12th grade, but I did finish and graduate.
I met my husband at Myrtle Beach when Kathy Trout, Karen Smith and I went to the beach for graduation. I was married on August 10th 1975. Steven was stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Steven was from Missouri. We had 2 children - Israel Jeremy Batson born ...Expand for more
April 29th 1976 and Natasha Shawntay Batson born June 20th 1977. We were married for ten years. We had moved back to Kernersville in 1978.
I work for Highland Industries, Inc. in Kernersville and have been with them for 22 years. Before it became Highland the company was Burlington Ind. and I worked for them 7 years. I currently work in the R&D Dept. as a lab tech. I mainly test fabric that is made into automobile airbags. I love my job.
I am currently in a relationship with Roger Crews who also went to East and graduated in 1975.
I am a grandmother for 4 granddaughters and 3 grandsons and 1 great grandson. I am a blessed person who thanks God for everything he has so generously blessed me with. I hope all my classmates are doing well and I would love to hear from any of them.
