Life When I think about how long it has been since I graduated H.S., I simply can't believe it. Time surely does fly. To be perfectly honest, those years remain a blur to me and I have few fond memories. Personally, I was going through hell....one of the most difficult times in my life. I drank too much, did too many drugs, and eventually ended up in a psychiatric ward after a failed suicide attempt shortly after graduation... but you know what? I survived and my traumatic life experiences were not in vain. I am NOT a religious fanatic but truly believe God saved me for a reason. I returned to and graduated from college obtaining an AS, then BS in multiple disciplines, dedicated my life to helping others and have worked in the Human Services ever since. I never married nor have children but have raised other people's children through my work....my first job I was a housemother to 8 abused and neglected teenage girls. Since 1976, this is the first time in my life that I don't have pets. I once had 3 dogs at the same time and they were like my kids. However, after caring for my mom who died several years ago from breast cancer and now caring for an elderly father, I really don't have much time for anything else.
