Life
Was married to my first husband, Paul Knight for 7 years and had three children. Michelle, Pam and Keith, Met my husband, Gary Rhodes, in 1974 and we married in 1981, adding his two sons (Gary and Michael) to my three children, . I retired from the County in 2005, we sold our house and moved to Oklahoma. Gary was on VA and Social Security disability, so it was easy for me to retire. We shared 15 grandchildren and were raising three of them (Tiffany, Gary and Heidi) in Oklahoma until his death in December of 2006. Gary's oldest son Gary lives in Bakersfield with his family; Michael lives with his son Andrew, wife Andrea and stepson Brandon.in Lubbock TX. My eldest daughter, Michelle Miller, and her husband live in Durant OK. She works Southeastern Oklahoma hospital in Durant. She has three adult chidlren two boys, and a girl; Jordan, 27, who lives in Colorado Justin Vasquez, 26 and his wife Rosa, who live in Sherman TX and are expecting my third great grandchild a little angel in February 2019 and her daughter Jasmine and new husband Trevor Martin, ; Jasmine will graduate from Pharmacy School this coming may and we will be able to call her Dr. Trevor graduated this past May and is an EMT. They live in Tyler TX while Jasmine completes her schooling at U of T. My youngest daughter Pam Brookings Priest , and her husband Jerry Priest live in Bakersfield. She retired from the Coast Guard after 22 years. She and Jerry live with two of my three granddaughters and grandson, My oldest granddaughter lives with her dad in Amehurst. NY. . Pam works for the County of Kern in the Risk Management Department. Pam's oldest daughter, Taylor, 26 is married and lives in Virginia with her husband Kevin, who is in the Navy and eventually wants to be a Navy Seal.. Taylor is an occupational therapist... My son, Keith Knight and his wife, Dana, live in Bakersfield . on and my main Mason Knight and my little lady, Lillian Knight. They are my greatest gifts yet and my absolute pride and joy. They have my heart many times over. They are the first babies of a new generation and I love being a great grandma to both of them. Mason will turn 5 on January 20th 2019 and Lillian will turn 2 on January 10th, 2019. They are my absolute pride and joy and loves of my life. Mason is fifth generation for the Knight family and Lily is our first angle and my son is a very proud grandpa and should be. My grandchildren keep me busy and range in ages from 12 to 27. There is a lot going on with my family, kids, grandkids and great grandkids right now and it is the best of happy times for me since Gary died December 22, 2006. I love to travel and just spend as much time as I can with my children and grandchildren; and my greatest joys in life so far, my great grandson Mason and great granddaughter Lillian with a new great granddaughter coming in February, 2019 for which I am over the moon about and cannot wait to welcome another angel to the family. They keep me busy and on the go since my husband Gary died and I am very proud of all of them. I couldn't be a prouder mother, grandmother and great grandmother than I am. I love and loved being in the grandma club and even happier to be in the great grandma club. I have been blessed with my family and they have made and make my life the best it can be! I am on FB if anyone wants to be friends or contact me. I would love to hear from you! I moved back to Bakersfield in July, 2015 and am currently still living here - do not plan on moving again. I miss my family, grandkids and great grandkids in OK but it was time to come home. I have 4 grand children here that I get to see and my son lives close by.. I am seeing old friends, have reconnected with some of my best friends and work friends, cruising, traveling, visiting and just doing things to keep me busy.
