Life
Dear Groveton Friends--I am about to turn 50! Two of my children, Margaret and Christo, are in college, and the last is a sophomore at Thomas Jefferson Science and Tech. I live in Arlington, and work as a chaplain at a homeless shelter in DC. I had my midlife crisis early--I graduated from Wellesley College and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and was a Principal at American Management Systems, Inc, and left to go to seminary. shington, Sydney, Reston and Sydney offices. In addition to working at the shelter, I am in my 15th year of leading Girl Scouts, and am thrilled to have gotten my second mob through the terrible years of middle school. They are 10th and 11th graders, and doing wonderful things in the community. I am a steward at an ecumenical church in Takoma, DC, and preach occasionally, teach classes occasionally, and enjoy this community in my life. I used to take painting classes at the Torpedo factory--and hope that I can fit art back in my life as my Girl Scouts move on to the world and I get a free weekend.
