Cynthia's Story
I really only attended Hilltop from 1966-1968 but I can't find where on this site I can change that (right now they think I was from 1964-1968).
Diana Nilson and I have remained friends since we met in 1966. Pretty cool! Talk about history!!
After High School I moved to Colorado with my family when my father retired from the Marine Corps and I¿ve lived here every since. At 19, I was in the Miss Colorado Pageant representing Metropolitan State College, an experience that, at 10, I never thought could happen. My second husband and I have been together for 16 years. I have three married daughters, Angie 31, Shelley 30 and Jessi 26. Shelley has our first grandson¿what a trip he is, Jessi is expecting our second grandson the middle of May and Angie is expecting on Halloween. Christmas will be a blast this year!

large CPA firm. I am primarily a proofreader making sure all of their correspondence, reports and financials read properly and add up correctly! Very tedious and dry, but I actually like it; that is also something I never thought could happen.
I¿ve retained my interest in art; I was one the artists in Hilltop¿s literary venture, Young Wings¿love you Mr. Thomas! For years I sketched portraits and figures, moved into writing¿discovered screenwriting (which I still pursue), and now I design jewelry. I prefer to wear my own creations¿my husband likes that, too!
I haven¿t become famous or rich since graduation but I¿m grateful for having survived to now and to have loving family in the same town. And though I never thought so when I was younger, I¿m an okay person and wouldn¿t trade the sense of a centered self and the confidence that this age has brought me.
