Cynthia's Story
Life
Well, after briefly (a whopping 7 months!) being married at age 20, I divorced and set about making a career as an administrative assistant (all those classes with Miss King and Mrs. Welch paid off!). I worked in the Baton Rouge area for five years, then became engaged to a guy from Ohio whom I met at work. Long story short, I moved to Ohio in 1983 to get married. Didn't! But I got a really terrific job and liked it here, so I stayed. I worked for 10 years as the Executive Assistant to the President of a major Midwestern broadcasting company, with 12 television and 28 radio stations throughout the US, as well as amusement parks throughout the world and entertainment companies (Hanna Barbera, Worldvision, and major motion picture ventures). It was great, but during that time I met the guy I would eventually marry. We married in 1989 and have been happily married since. His name is Jeff and he's a great guy! or with Landor Associates, the largest design firm in the world. For six years he worked exclusively on Tide Racing (Nascar) and I became a real Nascar junkie! Who would have thought!!!!! LOL Two years ago he changed accounts and now is going in a different direction, but still with P&G. The Lord didn't bless me with any children, but I now stay home with our two cats and one dog (we lost our mouse and guinea pig earlier this year :o( ). I'm actively involved in my church doing various things...working once a month serving lunch at a local homeless shelter, weekly services at a local nursing home, etc. In addition to that, I love to garden, and have filled my yard with flowers and shrubs. I've lived in Ohio for 22 years now, and I love it here. But I get home to Baton Rouge at least once every year, so I'd love to connect with old friends!
