Cynthia's Story
I have been a Foster Mom for 39 years now, I have 3 grown daughters, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. We currently have 11 children in the home due to adopting 7 more children , raising 3grandchildren and helping to raise 1 great grandson. Our grown children think I have LOST my mind. DO you? We lost our daughter Stormy Slimp in Jan. 2013 then June 2013 we lost our great grandson Noah Olson at 16 months old.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.Because I nurse maid many many children and their biological families.
When I need to relax and blow off a little steam I get in my bus and go go go!!!
I was a good girl but I ditched for a whole week and called myself in sick to the school so I wouldn't get into trouble.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see...Expand for more
again is Hope Elizabeth Spencer , because she was my best friend and kept me grounded!.
I even named my oldest daughter after her.
Lifes Biggest Surprise:
I became a Foster Parent and/or Adoptive Parent to 432 children in the last 39 years! If that is not a surprise then I don't know what is....
I am almost 61 years old and my husband Walter and I along with my sister in law have been getting our retirement home ready . A beautiful house in Pushmataha County on 128 acres , it is beautiful there . There are 10 horses , 2 large ponds filled with fish and you can sit on the porch watching the deer . I have found that in my lifetime only you can make yourself happy, everyone else just enhances the happiness you already have.
My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as the most sane person in the world.
