12/19/08--I have been retired for 1 year after 26 years of teaching high school English and in between (10 yrs) raising three children and all that goes with that--room mother, "soccer mom", Cub Scout den mother, chauffeur etc. which I loved. But, of course, kids grow up and you move on to other things. In my case, I had gone back to substitute teaching at my kids' school (k...Expand for more
ept an eye on them!), then finally back to fulltime teaching at Pickerington High School. It was a challenge but I enjoyed it--had some great students as well as a few "challenges." My husband and I are involved in church activities and with our grandchildren (5--four boys, one girl)which is worth it! We also like to travel and hope to do more before we're not able to do so.
