D'Andra's Story
I launched my own skin care company in 2008, called Hard Night Good Morning. I make aloe vera based natural skin care that is free of parabens, phosphates, phthalates and other harmful chemicals. It is also vegan and gluten free! I sell my products in Whole Foods (Southwest and Mid-Atlantic) and Central Markets in Texas and in other stores nationwide and on television. I won the Rising Star in Beauty from Fashion Group International in November of 2011 for my innovative skin care line. I was the keynote speaker at their annual conference this past April.
I was named one of the Most Beautiful Women in People Magazine this year (2012) at the age of 43. The section was called Real Beauty at Every Age, and I won for my age! I was named one of the Most Beautiful Women in Dallas in 2008, and a Fresh...Expand for more
Face of Fashion in 2008. Also, in 2011, I received the Distinguished Woman of the Year award from Northwood University for my contributions to communities, businesses, volunteer agencies, and public and private sector services world-wide. This honor is awarded annually to a handful of women, and I was one of the youngest award recipients in the award's history.
I am frequently on TV as a guest or a host. I co-hosted my own TV talk show "Daily Talk with D'Andra and Dee" for three years that wrapped in January of this year (2012). I will probably reinvent another show in the future, but now I am focusing on my skin care line and launching a clothing and accessories line down the road.
I built my first home in Highland Park last year, and I am enjoying the new space and my new outdoor oasis!
