DAVE's Story
At Wilson I was one of the photographers on the Campanile and newspaper.
I was all set to go into science. That didn't work. Everyone rises to their level of incompetence and
at LBCC I walked out of a Calculus class. I went through five majors and ended up at Cal Berkeley. That
lasted one semester with grades, I guess were DDFCD (don't know. never saw them) Dropped out of Berkeley and
was promptly drafted into the Army. Best thing that could have happened. I ended up as a photographer. Traveled on tempor...Expand for more
ary duties to different places and then ended up for 15 months in France. I became a motion picture guy who shot travelogues on places for the GIs to visit. Came back to So Cal. Got into photography at Hughes Aircraft.
Got married. Went to Art Center College of Design and got my BFA with distinction (what a difference). I became a commercial/advertising photographer first in LA, then in the Chicago area and then back to So Cal. I'm retired, and I taught photography at Mt San Antonio College until recently
