Darlene's Story
After Blenk, I attended and graduated from USL (now U of Louisiana, Lafayette) with a BA in Education (Social Studies, English and Math), a MA in Political Science. Then I attended Tulane in the Political Science PhD program. I started working the the City of New Orleans in Policy Planning in 1974 where i became the Director of Data analysis in 1975. asional stints as the Director of Policy Planning until 1991 when I transitioned to the Information Systems department as the Supervisor for Networks and Microcomputer Services. In 2005, I was forced to retire after Katrina. After retirement, my back issues caused me to become further disabled. I now work on genealogy databases at home and have been working on several family chart books.
