Dale's Story
First of all, as I'm often asked why I'm Dale Clauson now, it's because that's the name I was born with. Mr. Brown was my stepfather and Mom enrolled us kids at Calimesa Elementary as Brown. When we were about to graduate, Mrs. Lamke suggested that as I was 18, I should use my legal name.
I went to Valley College, then San Diego State where I earned a degree in math and a commission as an Air Force officer. I spent almost 21 years in the Air Force before retiring. I was a consultant for 7...Expand for more
years, but tired of all the travel. I first became a math teacher, then switched to Air Force Junior ROTC (hence the picture of my wife, Sherry, and I above at an AFJROTC Military Ball), which I've done since 2002.
Sherry is a RN I met in Germany. We married in Copenhagen and settled in southwest Germany. Our son was born there. We then transferred to Hawaii where our daughter was born.
We're now back in California, living in Crestline and I teach at Arlington High School in Riverside.
